CSRM's Naomi Priest wins fellowship to study racism and child development
Thursday 22 December 2016
CSRM's Naomi Priest has won a prestigious National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Career Development Fellowship (CDF) to continue her research on how early life adversity “get under the skin” to influence lifelong health among Aboriginal and ethnic minority peoples.
These NHMRC CDFs are highly competitive, four year fellowships that recognise and provide support for the most outstanding early to mid-career health and medical researchers in Australia. Similar to the Australian Research Council’s Future Fellowships, in 2016 success rates were less than 13% and only 60 fellowships were awarded.
